Stretch Your Stamps Class-Day 1

I am taking an online card class called Stretch Your Stamps.  Yesterday was Day 1 using background stamps.  Here is my creation based on yesterday's lesson using all CTMH product.

I used a background stamp from Diverse Backgrounds, stamping with Blush ink on Blush cardstock and Cotton Candy ink on Cotton Candy cardstock.
I then cut the pieces into squares and added them to a piece of paper.
Once the squares were in place, I cut the piece to size and matted it on Black cardstock.
I cut my cupcake out on my cricut using my Art Philosophy cartridge.
The base image is 2.5" and the Black shadow is cut at 2.75".
I added prisma glitter to my cupcake and used my foam tape to pop it up.
I then stamped my greeting on Blush cardstock, using the Just a Number stamp set for the sentiment.
After slightly sponging the edges of the sentiment with a dauber and adding the 2 licorice opaques, I used my foam tape to attach the sentiment to the cupcake.

Supplies used:

Paper: Blush, Cotton Candy, Black cardstock

Inks: Blush, Cotton Candy and Black

Stamps: Diverse Backgrounds and Just a Number

Embellishments: Art Philosophy Cartridge, Licorice Opaques, Prisma Glitter, Foam Tape

And some additional views of my project.

Thanks for looking at my take of Day 1 of Stretch Your Stamps.
I can't wait to see what we learn in Day 2 today.

Have a crafty day!

  1. This is a really cute card. You did a very nice job with it, and it looks like a great way to use up scraps, too.
