Sept Stamp of the Month Blog: Limited Edition

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Limited Edition, a set of 21 stamps.  If you have come here from LeAnne's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants below.

This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Here is the Stamp of the Month: Limited Edition:

I made a layout for my family's Disney album using the Limited Edition stamp.  I based this layout on a Got Sketch layout.

I used the stamp set for both the journaling box and the "luggage tag" on my layout.

When I cut the journaling box out on my Cricut using my Art Philosophy cartridge, I used the auto fill to fill the page and then used the Limited Edition stamp in multiple colors.
This way, I will have several on hand for journaling boxes on my layouts.

Supplies Used (all Close to My Heart unless noted):
Cricut: Art Philosophy, Going Places (suitcase)
Stamps: Limited Edition
Papers: Dreamin', Elemental, Bamboo CS, Black CS, Olive CS, Cocoa CS
Inks: Cocoa, Black
Other: Black marker, sponge, 3d Foam Tape

Now "Hop" on over to Sarita's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the September SOTM is only available until September 30!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Treat Bag Made from Cricut Card and a 3D Box and Tag

Today I had some time to get crafty.  I was able to create a treat bag from a cricut Art Philosophy card.  One cut and some score lines and I created this adorable little treat bag.  The roses were also cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and the stamp came from one of the three sets in the bundle.  (The chocolate seashells were borrowed from my kids for photo purposes.)

And a simple 3D box and tag created with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The stamp is from the Typeset Workshop on the Go kit.

Have I mentioned how much I love this cartridge?

These items will be part of my new Cricut Art Philosophy workshop.  I will also have a layout for you to create.  The cost will be $5 and the workshop will be held on Monday, Aug. 29 at 6:15 in my studio.
RSVP your spot today.

Love Your Layout: August 2011(a)

Tresa Black's Winning Album from Convention

At convention, there is a contest for best album submitted by a consultant.  Tresa Black won 1st place this year for her "Make a Wish" album.  There are no words to adequately describe how FABULOUS this album is.  I suggest you check it out for yourself here on Tresa's Fabulously Artsy blog.  She is an amazing inspiration to many consultants and this is just one example of why.  Thank you so much Tresa for sharing your fabulous album with us and letting us share it with all our blog readers too!

New Studio J Artwork

I created some layouts with Studio J...some with the new paper packs and some with Studio J members papers and layouts.

Independence Day (Studio J kit)
Performance layout
Members choices

Check out the banner with stitching (new Studio J options)

Manmade (Studio J kit)
Photo Op layout
Members choices

Elemental Paper (new)
Portrait Collection layout

Roxie (new)
Performance layout (members)

So there are some layouts with some new papers and layouts.
Wondering if being a member is worth it?

I think it is.
For $99/yr or $30/3 months, I get the following:

50% printed layouts
Free JPegs (web sized and large) of my printed layouts
Free shipping on one order per month (up to 20 layouts)
Free Page Protectors for all my Studio J layouts
Studio J paper kits for members
Studio J layouts for members

Not sure if you'll like Studio J and want to try it first?
Go ahead, you can use Studio J without a membership.

If you order 16 layouts in a year, you've made up the price of the membership in printing costs alone.
This doesn't include the value of the free shipping and page protectors, as well as access to all the paper and layouts.

I will never give up my traditional scrapbooking.
But, I will always have a Studio J membership too.
Studio J has been invaluable to me in the following ways:
  • I've gotten more layouts done using a combination of Studio J and traditional layouts
  • More color possibilities.  (i.e. The Elemental layout above.  I wanted to use this paper, so as to not distract from the pictures, but the colors weren't quite right.  No problem, I changed the colors of the paper in Studio J!)
  • Saved $ doing layouts in Studio J with my membership
  • Been able to print out the same layout multiple times.  Have saved time for layouts that I want to keep one and give one away.
  • Time-saver
  • Money-saver
As you can see, I love Studio J.
If you have any questions about Studio J or want to set up a free tutorial of Studio J, contact me here.
To try Studio J, check with your Close to My Heart consultant.
If you don't have a consultant, enjoy Studio J here.
To shop for a Studio J membership, check my website here.
