October Stamp of the Month | Holiday Magic

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring October's SOTM, which is Holiday Magic, a set of 18 stamps.  If you have come here from Michelle Loncar's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here

This month we have 56 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I made a card and a layout with Holiday Magic.

Here is the card:

The snowflakes were stamped in VersaMark and then embossed with a combination of white daisy embossing powder and prisma glitter.  That really makes them sparkle on the card.

Supplies used (all CTMH):
Holiday Magic Stamp Set
Elemental paper pack
Cranberry ink pad
Chocolate ink pad
Versa Mark ink pad
White Daisy Embossing Powder
Prisma Glitter
Heat Gun
Silver Glitz Glitter Gel

I also created a layout for our pictures of decorating our tree for this year.  I used the Magic how-to book for the layout: Top Hat.

Supplies Used (all CTMH):
Magic
Holiday Magic stamp set
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge
Elemental paper pack
Chocolate cardstock
Chocolate ink pad
Olive ink pad
Cream Opaque Adhesive Gems
Bitty Sparkles
Red, Pink & Purple Assortment Sparkles

Now "Hop" on over to Debra Van Patten's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the October SOTM is only available until October 31!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

What an Honor!

This week, I was surprised to open my email and find that I'd been honored with a blog award.  This blog award is special since it goes to great blogs with less than 200 followers.

Thank you so much to Vicki Price, who awarded my little blog with this award.  Check out Vicki's great blog here and if you like it as much as I do, be sure to follow it.
Now I get to pass the award on to five of my favorite blogs with less than 200 followers. I hope to find a few more followers and help others at the same time. If you haven't already, click on the link to follow me, and then take a look at these other creative blogs and follow them as well.

It was really hard to find just 5 blogs to pass the award on too, there are so many great ones out there!  But here are my top 5.  If you see your name/blog listed here, please pass the award on to 5 more blogs that have less than 200 followers.  And hopefully, as we do this, our followers will increase also.

Paige's Paper Paradise

Karen's Creations

Studio Scrapping

Blessed Scrapper

Pam's Crafty Creations

Now, if you visit each blog and follow the ones you like, the numbers will increase dramatically and you will have made numerous new friends and contacts!

Sharing with Heart Blog Hop

Welcome to September's Sharing from the Heart Blog Hop.  If you have come from Deanne's Blog, you are in the right place.

This month, my focus for the blog hop will be on fall.  I decided to create two layouts in Studio J, which I have a membership for.  Both layouts are for members and both layouts use the Dreamin' kit, which is for everyone.
I will be updating with my jpegs for Studio J (I am just waiting for them to be sent to me).  In the meantime, I copied the layouts from Studio J so that you could see them.

The first layout is named Performance and it can also be found in the Magic How-To Book.  The second layout is named Honeycomb and it is a new layout to Studio J.  The first layout is from a visit to a Botanical Gardens in the fall of 2008 and the last layout is of my son a few days before starting seventh grade this year. That layout doesn't have a title because I will be adding that and a journaling box once I get the layout.  The journaling box will include my son's thoughts/feelings  right before starting middle school this year (in his own handwriting).

I love Studio J since it is definitely faster, simpler and easier.  It has helped me catch up (i.e. with the first layout) and stay caught up (i.e. the last layout).

I hope you enjoyed my fall projects.  Continue hopping over to Kristine's Blog to see what fabulous creation she has in store for you.

Thanks for stopping by!

I really love this stamp set and I am going to try to find time to recreate this today.  Are you doing anything crafty over the long weekend?
